Football Happenings
(or "Where oh where has my FBH gone?")

 This is Ralph, Go!

Hello friends! Promises were made to be broken. Due to technical difficulties beyond our control the FBH Halloween issue has been pushed back a bit. In fact, we may not have an issue at all this week. The FBH staff has been busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest, and has decided this is a good time to have our annual Bye week. Roy spent some time in Austin this past week, and I am still riding the Subway Series in NJ. But do not fear. We have much to report on, including eye-witness accounts of the greatest Monday Night Football game ever played, as well as some World Series thoughts, and as promised, Costumes! All that and more coming soon, so please bear with us and stay tuned.

The Standings are fresh, however, as we head into the final week of Quarter #2. Week 8 was not a pretty one for many of us. Although he slipped and fell, Tommy Shiflett holds on to his lead over The Dane, Pete Knapp, and Cap'n Dom, with a guest appearance from Ken Brown. While no one did better than 9-4-1 last week, no one did worse than Mark Reid's 1-12-1 performance. Ouch!

John Kardel still holds a 6 game lead for the Qtr. in JoeJackson, while the Dane leads brother Tom by 3 for the race for top Lemonhead. The dada division has the most interesting race by far with no less than 3 people currently tied for first there (Tommy, Pete, and Brandi). Ken Brown clings to his slim lead over Tom B. in the Cardigans, and our fearless Commish is fighting off a challenge by former college pal, Jim Dodaro for WorldParty supremacy.

Our schedule for another update is really in the hands of the Mets. If they lose Game 5 tonight, I'll be heading back home shortly. If they force a Game 6, I won't be back until early next week. Bottom line, as long as the series is going on, I'll be here. Monday Night taught me that anything is possible, and NEVER leave early (not that I ever do).

Until then.... good luck to all... and Go Mets!

Until next week, from the love-beaded FBH headquarters,
