...And we're back! It's been a tough year at the LBFBHHQ. The economy is hitting us at home and at work and we've been busy concentrating on getting thru these tough times while keeping our heads above water. The future however, as they say, is bright. It's quite possible we are on the verge of a much needed regime change in Washington D.C., and unless you are among the 15% of the country who thinks that everything is just fine as it is, this can only be a good thing. Politics aside, I think we can all agree that what follows is the most anticipated part of an NFL season. Bigger than the Super Bowl? Well, I'm not John Lennon and FBH is certainly not bigger than Jesus, but our annual Halloween Costume issue is easily the most looked-forward-to issue in any football season.
We've done only two issues so far this season, a season that is proving to be one of our worst in terms of output here on this website. Hopefully, we can make some amends by putting together yet another batch of costumes for your amusement. With ten years of this stuff on our resume, I suspect that expectations are high. As if I needed any more pressure! I could go on forever about how tough it is to come up with plausible ideas and gather the materials needed for this yearly endeavor, but I'll spare you my whining and simply get on with the show.
Yes, I've decided to change the name of this party from "contest" to "show". I've done away with voting for favorites to take the pressure off you fine people of trying to choose one over another. And this year, we have commercials, and even the FBH website is coming in costume (see below). Remember, this is only an exhibition, please, no wagering! So sit back, relax, grab a beverage, hope that I didn't use your head in a very embarrassing way, and enjoy the show!
