Nauseating Babble From The Commish:

The emotion I feel first and foremost while listening to Aimee’s music is comfort.  Putting on one of her albums is like getting a phone call from an old friend.  Sure, she’s your cynically optimistic friend with relationship problems, but you connect with her so easily and softly it’s like wearing your favorite shirt.

Aimee was part of the new wave movement as the singer/songwriter of the band ‘til Tuesday in the early 80’s, but has since delivered three superior CDs filled with catchy, well-crafted songs.  “Whatever” (1993), “I’m With Stupid” (1995) and Bachelor No. 2 (2000).  Her music was also prominently featured in the (1999) movie “Magnolia” and she earned an Oscar nomination for her song “Save Me.”

Aimee has also collaborated with some very cool musicians like Elvis Costello, Roger McGuinn from the Byrds, and the boys (Glenn and Chris) from Squeeze.
