Hey, this isnt real complicated. The object of this game is to pick football games versus the spread. The spread is the "current" line in the Saturday edition of The Dallas Morning News (game day for Thursday and Saturday games). A reminder: The official (not preliminary) line will be posted on the website on Saturday. Ties count as ties (sorry, Dad).
Make your picks (sounds so very easy, doesnt it?) and get them in to the love-beaded Football Happenings headquarters (LBFBHHQ) before game time.

When you enter, you will set your "default" settings, so if for some reason you don't make picks, they will be preset.
At the end of the season, the competitor with the best overall winning percentage wins $325ish, the second place finisher gets $150ish and its $75ish for third place. One nice thing about FBH is you have a chance to get out of losing your entry fee, even if your picks suck. Lowest overall winning percentage gets $50, not a harder $50 to be earned anywhere. And the person who finishes in 25th Place wins $25. Giving it to widows and orphans seems more appropriate than keeping it. Past last place finishers have gone on to lives of crime, despair, and some times even state college. And the addition of the 25th Man is to reward the average and keep some competition amongst the middle of the pack people. (All amounts are subject to participation -- we'll let you know.)
But wait! Theres more

You will be assigned to one of five divisions consisting of about 10 people each. The football season is broken down into four quarters (2002 First Quarter is weeks 1-4, (58 games), Q2 is weeks 5-9 (70 games), Q3 is weeks 10-13 (60 games), and Q4 is weeks 14-17 (60 games)). If you have the best winning record in your division within any of the four quarters, you win $50. This has much more dignity than that last place thing.
Ties will be broken by comparing the next week's records, with the better record winning.
The standings will be posted as soon as possible after Monday nights game. Our goal is for the newsletter will be completed Wednesday evening, so the website should be ready by Thursday or Friday. If you dont have e-mail and would like a faxed copy of the newsletter, please let me know. I like to save my saliva for other things.
Please advise the LBFBHHQ of any discrepancies in any of your vital information or if there is something you would like to share with the whole class.
As I am a fickle bitch, all rules (including this one) are subject to interpretation, deletion, addition, change, etc. by the Commish in his full discretion, especially if one of the Vaneks start winning (usually not a problem).
